High-end I retrieve is a cardinal term. Because there volition be always somebody on a college playing field. Only like asking who has the fastest car in-town. There will always be something faster, stronger, or more than powerful out there.

So would a two.8Ghz be considered high end? Or even a 9800 or 5900 ultra graphic carte with the R420 around the corner? How about DDR 4000 with its latency timings?

My definition of high-end is a computer that is filled with parts that are faster/ameliorate that what is typically purchased. If 512 MB is typical at present, anything above that is the high-cease (640, 768, 1024, etc). If ii.4 GHz P4 is typical for processors, anything faster than that is the high-end. Repeat with video menu, Hd, monitor, etc.

Basically then yous take
i) low-cease which is filled with parts that are below averge,
2) average which is basically the average parts, perhaps a few low-cease and a few high-end parts mixed.
3) high-finish which is filled with parts that are above average, and
iv) farthermost which is filled with the best part possible no affair what the price.

Why Raid? Raid 0 could plow unstable and requires ii difficult drives being used. Raid 1 also uses two difficult drives with one being mirrored for information safety. I don't recollect raid is a applied style of increasing performance, it seems only practicle if that person needs that extra heave for simply a certain task.

Now a SATA Raptor or 15k RPM Barracuda on the other paw is.

Why Raid? Raid 0 could turn unstable and requires 2 hard drives existence used. Raid one as well uses two hard drives with one being mirrored for data safe. By loftier end, I'm thinking a arrangement that can play all the games smoothly with everything turned up and by today'south technology, with atleast 4x AA and 16x AF Quality with V-Sync On. Too beingness able to switch quickly between programs, exercise multiple tasks with minimal loss of speed and fast kick upward times.

I guess the term "High end" is kind of vague, only it basically means anything that is just within 1, 2, or 3 of the highest terminate products.

CPU - 2.4C or above
Hd - 8MB Enshroud (Size is not a affair since information technology depends on how much the person needs/uses)
Video Carte - Radeon 9500 Pro or 9600 Pro even though for the price the 9700 Non Pro is much better, IMO
RAM - 512MB or above with speed in sync with cpu unless its overclocked
Overnice Keyboard, mouse, CDRW, speakers, and possibly some accessories like a tv tuner
And to top information technology off, a nice case and PSU.

i recollect if your PC can run any game nicely with 1024*768 with 4xAA/16xfsaa it is a high-stop system

suspension it down for simplicity: 15000+ 3dmarks

Highend doesn't mean the latest and greatest in my book...Look @ information technology like Classes of People Low, Middle and High ...Today is dissimilar and so Yeaterday or will exist tomorow as standards modify
